The Team
Iqram and Kortina joined forces in early 2009 to launch Venmo. Together, they saw an inefficiency in the way offline transactions took place, so they decided to offer a solution that eliminated the need for cash and took advantage of how people use their cell phones nowadays.
In the past, Iqram and Kortina have worked together and separately at a number of start-ups that deal with large-scale transactional systems. They met as freshman year roommates while studying at the University of Pennsylvania.
